Community Health Representative
The ‘Na̱mg̱is Health Centre is seeking a Community Health Representative (CHR) to support health and wellness for infants, children, youth, and adults within the ‘Na̱mg̱is community. The CHR plays a key role in delivering community health programs through client engagement, health education, clinic coordination, outreach, and administrative support. Working closely with the Community Health Nurse and other health staff, the CHR fosters a holistic and culturally respectful approach to improve health outcomes.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- Six months community work experience with First Nations People
- Minimum three years’ experience working in a health organization
- Ability to manage time and program scheduling
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of chronic disease, health promotion, prevention, and protection
- Experience facilitating workshops
- Ability to work with an Integrated Service Team
Qualifications:
- Basic First Aid and CPR certificate
- Food Safe and Physical Activity Leadership certification
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 4 preferred)
- Minimum Grade 12 education
Salary: $41,896 – $48,703
