Dear ‘Na̱mg̱is Members,
G̱ilakas’la.
Chief and Council sincerely apologize for not holding the general meeting that was promised for the Summer and Fall of 2025. We understand that members were expecting this opportunity to receive updates, ask questions, and engage directly with leadership. We regret the disappointment and inconvenience that this delay has caused.
Over the past year, Council and Administration have been addressing several significant priorities and challenges. While this work was important, it does not excuse the lack of timely communication about the general meeting. Members deserve clarity, transparency, and consistent follow‑up, and we recognize that we did not meet that standard.
We are committed to rebuilding trust and strengthening communication with membership moving forward.
With this in mind, we are pleased to invite all members to attend the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM):
- Saturday, February 21, 2026
- Sunday, February 22, 2026
Further details—including agenda, location, and virtual participation options—will be shared shortly. Your voice and presence are essential. The AGM will provide a thorough update on current initiatives, an opportunity for members to ask questions, and a space for open dialogue with leadership.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to meeting with you, hearing from you, and continuing our work together for the strength and wellbeing of our Nation.
G̱ilakas’la,
Chief and Council
‘Na̱mg̱is First Nation
