Aboriginal Infant Development Worker

’Na̱mg̱is Community Services is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Aboriginal Infant Development Worker to deliver culturally appropriate, family-centred services to infants and young children (birth to 5 years) and their families. Services are provided through home visits and early childhood development programs.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Infant Development Program Certificate or Diploma, CYC or F/N-CYC education, ECE training, or equivalent education and related experience
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working in the Early Childhood Education field
  • Ability to work in a home-visiting program using culturally appropriate, family-centred approaches
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other programs and professionals
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Employment Requirements

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening
  • Valid Child Safe First Aid and CPR certification (training may be provided)
  • Food Safe certification (training may be provided)
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s licence, and clean driving record

Salary

$42,776 – $49,726 annually
