On-Call Custodian

We are accepting applications for the position of on-call Custodian at the T̓łisa̱lagi’lakw School.
Reporting to: T̓łisa̱lagi’lakw School Principal

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sweeping classrooms, offices, kitchen, gym, and all common areas
• Washroom cleaning including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors and walls
• Kitchen: Wipe down surfaces and clean other kitchenware as required
• Emptying garbage bins daily and recycling bins as required
• Mopping classrooms, offices, kitchen, and common areas regularly and as required
• Dusting and wiping desktops, work surfaces, and windows regularly and as required
• Replenishing soap and paper towel dispensaries regularly and as required
• Reporting maintenance and repair issues to the school principal in a timely manner
• Carpet cleaning as per schedule and as necessary
• Floor stripping, sealing, and polishing as per schedule
• Other related duties as may be required from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 year of custodial experience preferred
• WHIMS preferred but training may be provided
• Physically able to lift, walk, crouch, or climb, regularly and/or from time to time
• Satisfactory criminal record check & vulnerable sector search

WAGE:
• Salary starting at $34,635 depending on qualifications and experience.
