A̱mlilas Janitor

We are seeking a reliable part-time Janitor to maintain the A̱mlilas Daycare Building and help provide a clean, healthy, safe, and sanitary environment for all Early Childhood Development programs. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Clean and disinfect washrooms daily, including sinks, toilets, floors, walls, mirrors, and doors. 
  • Ensure washrooms are stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer. 
  • Sweep all floors, including common areas and offices, daily. 
  • Vacuum all interior mats and carpeted areas daily. 
  • Empty garbage containers and place waste in the appropriate outdoor bins. 
  • Secure the building at the end of each shift by confirming that all windows and doors are locked. 
  • Clean the refrigerator and stove monthly, or more often as required. 
  • Clean interior windows weekly. 
  • Report damage, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to the Manager promptly. 
  • Monitor cleaning-supply inventory and place orders as required. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Previous janitorial, custodial, or related cleaning experience is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, safe cleaning practices, and cleaning equipment. 
  • WHMIS and First Aid certifications are considered assets.

SALARY: Compensation is based on the ‘Na̱mg̱is Salary Grid $19.84/hour-$22.91/hour
